Fertility Tourism exists to answer two questions honestly: where can someone in your situation legally do IVF, and what will it really cost compared with staying home.
We are independent
We are not a clinic, an agency, or a law firm. We do not accept referral commissions, we are not paid to rank any destination, and we have no treatment to sell. That independence is the whole point: most of what you find when you search for IVF abroad is published by businesses that profit from your decision. We rank by law, honest success data and cost, not by who advertises hardest.
How we research
Every legal and cost claim on this site traces to a named source, and we date it. We prioritise primary and authoritative sources over clinic marketing:
- Success rates: national registries, the US SART/ASRM data and the European ESHRE registry, always labelled with the denominator (per cycle, per retrieval, or per transfer) because those numbers are not interchangeable.
- Legal eligibility: national legislation and regulators (for example Spain's Law 14/2006, Greece's Law 4958/2022), the European Policy for Reproduction FERTIL Atlas, and peer-reviewed comparative reviews.
- Cost: baseline US and UK figures from triangulated independent sources; destination prices, especially donor-egg cycles, are advertised figures cross-checked across several aggregators and clearly labelled as estimates.
Where a claim could not be verified to our standard, we say so rather than guess. Laws and prices change, so each figure carries a "last verified" date and we revisit them.
Our honesty commitment
We will never show you an inflated success rate to make a destination look better, and we will tell you plainly when a country is not an option for your situation. A guide that only ever says "yes" is selling something. Ours says no when the law says no.
